The Girl Boss Award was originally brought to the office by Taylor Hart-Bowlan in 2018. I think it was sort of a “tongue-in-cheek” award at the time, but my memory isn’t that good. Did it have something to do with the Netflix movie called Girl Boss? Or the autobiographical book called #Girlboss? What I do remember is, by the time we got to 2019, the award had become a more serious way of recognizing people for legitimate and valuable contributions.

Did anyone get the GBA out of the office?
I didn’t. At least, I don’t think I did. I was stuffing a lot of stuff in boxes at the last minute and I just don’t think I would have prioritized that. It’s a virtual award now – has been for a while!
