9 things you didn’t know about Wyatt

One

I was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, and I attended the University of New Mexico. To save some time, I’d like to answer the two most infamous questions up front: Yes, Breaking Bad is pretty on point, and No, we aren’t a part of Mexico. You’d be surprised how many people think New Mexico is a Mexican territory!

Two

I have lived in Denver for just the past three years, but because my half-sisters were raised here, it has always felt like my second home! Growing up, I made at least one trip a year to come hang out and enjoy the city.

Three

I absolutely love to snowboard and it’s one of the main reasons why my girlfriend and I decided on Denver when we moved away from New Mexico. Although nobody mentioned the idea of “ski traffic” to us beforehand!! Nonetheless, my favorite mountain in Colorado is Wolf Creek, hands down. If you love powder, Wolf is the place to go!

Four

My best friend in the world is my dog, Kyree. He is an Akita, which means he’s very stubborn, grumpy and hairy! His favorite Denver activity is walking on the Platte River path or running around at my sister’s house in Breckenridge. Here’s a pic of Ky from a recent walk on the South Platte.

I am a die-hard Denver Nuggets fan, and have been since I was nine years old. Although it’s not always easy rooting for the Nuggs, the past few years have been fun! Just need to stay healthy.

Speaking of basketball, you could say that I am kind of an enthusiast. Whether it’s playing at the Rec Center, watching NCAA or NBA games, or coaching youth basketball, I do it all! I must admit that coaching has really become my passion – I am entering my 10th season coaching. During the summer you can find me in Parker with my middle school club program, J19 Hoops, and during the Winter out in Lakewood as an Assistant Varsity coach at Alameda High School! Below is a shot of my team and I after winning a 7th grade championship a few years ago.

I absolutely love music and I spend a ton of time searching for new songs, artists or genres. I will listen to pretty much anything I come across and that tends to make for a weird collection of songs. My friends like to make fun of me because my playlist will have Jay-Z, Adele, Yiruma and Luke Combs all mixed together. What can I say? I like a little bit of everything.

Eight

I am a stock market enthusiast! I have been trading equities on my own since graduating from college in 2016 and I spend most evenings searching through charts and looking for new swing trading set ups.

Although I am not very good, I love to golf with my friends when we can find the time. The key to the game if you ask me? Just have fun and don’t take it too seriously!
