Benefits Program

Simplifya’s benefits program is competitive with other technology startups and generous relative to other ancillary companies in the cannabis industry.

Remote Work Model

Simplifya moved to a 100% remote work model on November 1, 2021. There are many pros and cons. The trick, as with any work model, is to take advantage of the pros and find ways to cope with the cons.

You may have noticed in our job postings that we request Colorado residency and explicitly state our desire for employees to attend local events. To date, these events have included happy hours, holiday parties, lunches, team meetings, volunteer days, and more. Individually, these gatherings may not seem important, but we believe they are necessary to foster a company culture and directly address one of the cons of remote work – the lack of in-person social interaction.

On rare occasions, current Denver-based employees have expressed a desire to continue working for Simplifya after moving out of state. Though we have accommodated such moves in the past, many factors come into play. If you are considering a move out of state, please speak with your manager.

Insurance Coverages

Simplifya provides insurance coverage through Aetna (new for 2026). Please read this summary of benefits and coverage.

For employees, the company pays 80% of the premium for medical insurance, 50% of the premium for dental insurance, and 50% of the premium for vision insurance. The cost of insuring other family members is the responsibility of the employee. The employee portion of premiums is automatically deducted from paychecks in equal installments. Information and rates are current from November 1, 2026 through October 31, 2027.

If you have any questions about how to add or remove yourself or family members, coverages, payroll deductions, and more, please contact John Morgan.

Transparency in Coverage Rule

This link leads to the machine-readable files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.
